Tendonitis and Muscle Strain

Muscle Strain (also known as pulled muscle), occurs when muscle is overstretched or torn. This usually occurs as a result of fatigue, improper use of a muscle or overuse. Strains can happen in any muscle, but they’re most common in your lower back, neck, shoulder, and hamstring, which is the muscle behind your thigh.

Tendonitis is the inflammation of the tendon. Tendons are tough, flexible, fibrous bands of tissue that connect muscles to bones. Tendonitis happens when it suffers microscopic tears due to overuse or injury. Tendonitis is most common in the shoulder, elbow, knee, wrist and heel, although it can happen anywhere that tendons are found in the body.
