Cartilage Therapeutic

One Step Cartilage Regeneration

What is Cartilage Injury?

Cartilage is the smooth, white tissue that covers the ends of bones where they come together to form joints. Healthy cartilage in our joints makes it easier to move. It allows the bones to glide over each other with very little friction.

Cartilage can be damaged by injury or normal wear and tear, commonly affecting the knee, ankle and shoulder. Treatment to restore cartilage relieves pain and allows better function. However, most importantly it can delay or prevent the onset of arthritis.

Signs & Symptom

Pain of the affected joint..
Swelling & tender joint.
Unable to bend or extend the arm/ leg.

How is damage to the articular cartilage diagnosed?

If you experience pain of the joint especially after vigorous activity it is best to seek your healthcare professional. Diagnosis is done through:

  • Clinical Inspection of the affected joint
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) – a detailed imaging process using magnetic field and radio waves to identify the cause of pain.
  • Arthroscopy – A keyhole surgery in which a tube-like camera (arthroscope) is inserted into a joint to inspect and diagnose it.
